since most fighting happens in spar, why don't they remove chat from spar areas so no raging or fighting occurs? I would like this idea alot

Majority of fighting(mainly rasicm) does come from there so yes this would be great.

Fixes one problem, causes another problem. Raging does happen from sparring. Though what if people want to use chat for other purposes while in spar. Maybe for coaching, giving tips to others or offering a Good Game to each other.

Not only will you need to disable the chat system, you need to disable pms. Along with that, if a player is desperate enough, he/she will leave the spar area and send that pm message to that player he just lost to. To fix that problem causes another issue. If the player inside the spar arena will not receive pms, what if another player outside the spar arena wants to pm him? Maybe the pm is important. The fact that you can longer communicate to a player inside a spar arena is like trying to talk to someone that isn't in era. Players need to understand that their actions may affect the future. For the better or for the worse.

Just a quick question. How often are people harassing each other during spar?
