i think you should just use a melee and a gun that works for you and if someone offers you while you are pking or you get say 20 ec for a hunter take it.
just base it on the damage. not the rarity or price in shells.
say if an old sham had 9 damage, ice blade does like 7? people would still say ice blade is better.

Ice blade does 8. And what I'm trying to convey is that skill matters not damage
