Thread: Zombie Crypt Fail !

There are different types of lag. Poor frame rate, and Internet/Server based lag.

Internet/Server lag affects how objects in game update every frame. A player with heavy lag tends to warp around or run on the spot. This is either because they suffer from poor internet speed/connection or the server is running slow. You can test your internet speed in era by shooting explosives. If the explosive projectile lands but the explosion didn't appear right away, that's how much lag you have. The longer the delay, the heavier the lag.

Poor frame rate, is mainly caused within your device/computer. When many objects are present at once, your device tries to process each of those objects. So for every zombie, the device is processing and running their function script (this would be their artificial intelligence). Because there are so many zombies that the device needs to check, it slows down the device because it's trying to keep up with the game. It's trading off smooth performance to handle each zombie that is present in game. Eventually, the input command gets delayed as well since the device is trying to do many things at once. To simplify it, you are practically trying to rush the device and overwork it as it tries to command every zombie with you spamming out your sword or pumpkins, resulting tiring out the device leading to a crash. Older devices suffer more lag. Like trying to get an elder to do many tasks at once.
