In my opinion, LoL is better, and I doubt Dota 2 takes more skill. Of what I've heard, Dota 2 takes less skill. Plus, LoL is a lot more popular than Dota 2. In LoL, the graphics are more cartoonish, in Dota 2 they are more realistic and detailed so you can't really compare which one has "better" graphics.
BTW, Dota 2 is free. You don't need a beta code.
