Crypt rewards stacked in 2015. Thats why you could choose two(one for each first place). 2016 they dont, rip.

I would really like to know how you came up with the idea to practically give 1st place and 2nd the same reward, 1-2 ec and 1-2k gralats means nothing. Might as well go ask the NBA to give Golden State rings too. Just because you get a choice out of the 3 really is an illusion of getting more than 2nd, remove the gas mask from 2nd place and that would make more sense.
