Also the fact that its Xmas related less it in theme and is in with a good shout, oh well the idiotic voice of the uninformed users speak louder than the words of a knowledgeable user.
What I've been trying to say.

I feel like most people voting aren't even reading the thread (as indicated bye everyone asking for a gold gun despite the thread specifically stating not to ask for it)- therefore assuming that they're asking for a tradeable butterfly knife with skins which is not the case

The problem i see with this is that there's a good chance that the presents would hit the limit within hours of presents being able to be opened- disadvantaging those from non-european timezones. I understand why people want a limit but if we want it to be fair to everybody there shouldn't be a limit in my opinion.
That's true but on the other hand if there isn't a limit then more people get to have it which detracts the rarity of it.
As proven by the golden desert eagle item from last year, which had a 5% chance to obtain and yet the majority of people opening presents got one eventually, with most of them getting it dual, so effectively having got it twice.

With guns it isn't a huge deal since you can buy the non gold version counterpart, but for melees, specifically the rares you can't buy, and so their value is in their look.
If the reward item was a Christmas themed HW Dagger (that only has 3-4 in game) and it didn't have a limit then theoretically a large portion of players would be able to obtain it eventually. And then it detracts from the actual item as people want something nobody else has. Even if they have an untradeable Christmas themed version, if say 700 people had it, the item would no longer be special
