I agree with Meph 100%. In addition to today's flawed raiding system, there was a time when only the most skillful players possessed rare weapons like Mp5s. Obtaining those weapons was capable through winning major events by demonstrating your superior ability to spar, raid, and pk. They started from the bottom and practiced for hours, days, weeks, months, and in some cases even years to perfect their style of fighting.
Players like Wil, Corey, Smasher, Arc, Raven, Meph/Diaz, just to name a few that I can think of off the top of my head, are capable of pking with ANY gun you give them, because they are skilled THROUGH PRACTICE. Those that didn't want to put in their time to practice chose to obtain those weapons by mining and picking flowers, thus buying them off the players who won them. Doing that kind of labor to afford rare guns would take months upon months. What I'm trying to say is that nothing came easy, you had to work hard in order to get the things you wanted much like in real life.
The generation of Era players today doesn't have to do any of that, all they focus on is obtaining an Mp5 through betflipping and once they have the gun they just hold D and wall. Take away the Mp5/Souizen and they don't now how to defend themselves. Same goes for raiding, logic and tactics don't exist anymore, it's nothing more than a brainless pack of kids without any leadership charging into a base without a plan. The guys with the biggest guns win by laming and eating food.
The gang admin needs to make a wise decision and bring back the original bases, 4 gangs, and remove food/elixers/armor inside gang bases. Perhaps that could influence the kids of today to start using their brains.
