Yeah this is pretty true. I don't see how this extra freeze has brought in skill. It is much less skilled now because you are almost forced to stay in one spot to shoot.Originally Posted by Vyre

These are drastic changes that are pushing loyal customers away. People dig for months for these guns. Others spend real $ currency. I feel whoever is making these changes needs to reconsider or be replaced. It's unfair and unnecessary. On another note I'd rather have the 3-4 damage and normal mini gun speed than mini with 10 dmg the way it is. Mini guns value is maybe 50k grallets now.
I don't have the minigun but when i used it in gun games it was not it original speed
Minigun's firerate was lowered drastically.

The only thing that was supposed to be impacted was the freeze;
It appears fire rate has also been effected by the change.
Freeze isn't supposed to impact fire rate; they're two entirely different stats.
This is a bug and we're addressing it.

iEra is scripted in a way that we cannot separate freeze from fire rate-- fire rate hinges on freeze, so when we nerfed freeze, fire rate was heavily impacted.
Obviously, since nerfing fire rate wasn't the intent, it's all been switched back to normal.
It's funny, when I was a GA in 2008 on PC Era, I was able to alter freeze and fire rate independently.
It seems with the transfer to iEra, the stats have been joined.
It's a real shame because, one of the main counters to a high fire rate is a high freeze.
on iEra, the only comparable stat we can change to counter a high fire rate is damage.
It really limits our flexibility.

I believe it's embedded within the actual walking script, which is a whole can of worms that will effect much more than guns, if bothered.
See we need more admins like Meph. While I may not always agree with his decisions and such he always gives reasons to back up his points and admits when something has gone wrong and explains what instead of vague denials which are done by most admins.
