You paid for them? Aye, sorry for you. You may use them for yourself now i.e. your own homepage/websites but I am not sure if you could use them for a commercial use (probably but you better check the sites ToS). Anyways, even if you paid them 3r parties (in this case Era) still aren't allowed to use it.

Yea. We can't use copyright things on iEra. We could get sued if we use such songs. That's why we have SFX Staff (like me), who make music from scratch.

No, you can't compare some staff on Graal doing something as a hobby/whatnot if something professional you get paid for. Basically, you're allowed to use copyrighted songs on Era once you paid for them. However, in this case the company has to pay it (saying, wouldn't work if a staff or a player pays it and offers it the game to use).

And, you can get sued for copyright free stuff aswell.

Incorrect. You have to get permission from the owner to use it in game.

The point I'm trying to make is iEra doesn't use copyright songs for a reason. The SFX Staff make them from scratch.

EDIT: I was agreeing with you when you said this

Whenever you pay for something, doesn't matter what, when, where or whatever, you're having a contract. Once you paid, you're willing to give out your money to the seller. Meanwhile, the seller agrees to give you the song. As in, when paid you are allowed to use it. If you would be less of a jerk you'd eventually qoute my whole reply or atleast the part where I said in that case, the company would've to pay for it in order to use it.

My point is, you're not having a point. The reason why staff such as SFX are hired isn't because of copyrights and being afraid of being sued. Unless it's a huge company the procedure will take years until you get a result which either is there was no infringement of copyright (you bein allowed to keep it) or there is one (you being told to remove it, nothing more - not even a kind of punishment where someone must pay them due to several reasons). You're just hired because someone obviously is just too greedy to spend money and pay 'real' (this part of my reply shouldn't offend anyone) developers and is most likely too lazy to deal with laws and law issues.

im sorry about this. But we just use this song for just entertaining. Not to sold. And it's also a way to promote their songs too.

Maybe i'll find non-copyright song... *cry*
