Gun Attachments- How Everyone Can Benefit

Gameplay in general is getting kind of boring. Its hard to find things to work towards, and have fun working towards them. People arent getting super good interesting weaponry from the Events House like they used to either, due to lack of free ec. Who knows, maybe people will start spending more for guns. But then again, at that point guns would be common anyways, spending on common gameplay isnt as appealing as spending for interesting gameplay, gameplay that is enjoyable or however youd like to put it.

At this point in the game where im at, i can honestly say i dont have much to look foreward to. Lots of people are talking like theres nothing to do. Iv stopped spending because things are all the same, in general i think the big money maker is weaponry which has gotten i guess kind of dull. Guns look different but they are all similar to at least a couple others. Im just saying things are going to slow down at least a bit, unless you can change things up. And i think a good way would to upgrade the gameplay itself.

Theres been lots of talk about like gun attachments, i guess part of it is that its just mainstream stuff from every console game involving shooting. But its not like it wouldnt be giving a negative effect if attachments were implimented properly.

My thinking is that if we had gun attachments, gun upgrades, equipement upgrades, it would change almost everything and would make the gameplay a bit more strategic and fun.

If we had attachements, it would add some more realism to the game. But with all attachments, there can always be downgrades that can be implimented so things dont get too overpowered. And attachments can make weapons that we almost never use, more appealing and useful. Like i almost never use my SMGPK. But if i had the option to attach a silencer for better looks, add a couple bullets into the clip, etc. it would make it a lot more appealing and expensive.

Gun upgrades can transform guns into something more customizable, personalized. Like maybe im the kind of person that favors less freeze over accuracy or high fire rate. Guns that are so default, can become something that anyone can favor with upgrades. Upgrades can just twist the stats, upgrade one thing but downgrade another. Like some guns can become "a great dissapointment." With gun upgrades, people can create a more favorable gun. And gun attachments can be part of what upgrades a gun, for their looks and stats. Because for me, i look for both.

Buying the attachments and upgrades could either be more DLC, or just Gralats. Maybe some Attachemnts could cost EC. I dont know, but i wouldnt mind spending 5$ in itunes for a silencer, or being able to switch hands with my gun. Whichever, however you guys would have it, just imagine 10,000 players buying 1 attachment for 3$. Honestly theres money to be made, especially since developing the graphics and whatnot is supposedly free.

    What would happen?

People would be more inclined to buy any weapon. More money would be spent. And implimenting attachments and upgrades would require a lot more staff, which would lead to more opportunities for people who want to apply themselves. In general i think combat in the game would be more enjoyable.

    Basic points:

*More money for the people that beneift from making money off iera
    *More staff opportunities
*More satisfaction out of buying weapons
*More things for players to look towards
    *More people playing
    *More people enjoying this game
*Less people hating, complaining, asking gun questions

Yes this would be hard to impliment, but i guess its in the best interest for the developers. They can make a lot of money. I just jotted this all down, im probably missing several points, but i will stay on this thread to respond to concerns.

The problem is still with the amount of scripters.
iEra always has an outflow of Player Relations staff coming from the community, not mentioning that it still has a decent amount of LAT and Gani staff.
Mainly on Era-Go,so if you're wanting to talk to me about a subject, shoot me a message or you could even private message me in-game!

What takes up all the time is gani'ing it.
Say you have 3 attachment configurations for each gun- each gun has roughly 4 ganis that make it up (walk, fire, idle, reload), thats 12 ganis needed for one gun. If the attachment is a laser or grenade launcher then that means double the amount of gani files for the different mode. Now say the gun has 2 other skins then that means you need another 24 ganis, 36 gani file total to make up attachments for one gun and two of its skins. And that is if the attachments did nothing but change the look, if I added functionality like being able to turn a laser on or off or fire a grenade launcher then you'd need to add roughly 10 more gani files for each skin. one gun. And that isn't including the fact that you need to make new levels to place the attachments and edit the guns script to include the attachments.
I think it is fair to say there are at least the same amount of skins as actual guns, and from guessing i'd assume there are atleast 60-80 guns. This means I would need to do attachment ganis for 120-160 guns, times that by 12 since I said each gun has 12 attachment configs with 4 ganis in each, so i'd need 1440-1920 gani files to make 3 attachment configs for each gun in era. Roughly 500 if I only did one.
And again that isn't including the scripting and levelling, and that was a very minimal estimate as I didn't incude the extra ganis that would 90% be required, which would basically double those numbers.

There is so much work involved i'd probably hire anyone who could gani attachments for every gun by themselves, it would take at least a year and I know I wouldn't be able to stay focused for that long which is why this isn't happening anymore, and also because it literally won't be possible thanks to skins and some guns already having attachments

    Easy, lol.

yes as bitz has said, it would take a lot of time to catch up, but after its all saod and done the whole game would basically be upgraded. Theres nothing easy about updating the combat of a game. And as i said, it would create lots of staff opportunities, if it were to happen i think it would be a great opportunity for all those people that are doing gani, and graphics to actually have their work applied to the game. Of course it would be a learning experience for many, all work would have to be reviewed, but yeah theres no shortage on people with the desire to help out.
