A Privacy Concern

I'm sure most of us here should be aware that admins are able to read our PM history or warp to us anywhere.

So I had a small talk with this girl a few days ago, just a casual convo starting from me saying "hi". Today , she PMed out of nowhere saying that she can't be my gf anymore and she asked why I cheated on her. Hold on for a second, I wasn't even aware that I became her boyfriend??? She mentioned that I shouldn't have PMed her if I was interested in another girl. I was like wtf? How did that chat made us an item? I was quite reluctant at first and thought that she might be trolling.

Out of curiosity, I asked her how'd she knew about it and she told me her friends spreaded it. Now here's the interesting part, she said that an admin helped them checked my PM history. I thought that only snk were allowed to sneak at our PMs until I was caught by Bri yesterday during TTS for cursing on gang chat. That's when I realised that normal PRs are also able to do it.

Just like how netizens hate it when the government checks on them by tapping their phones and messages, I think that we Graalians would also want some privacy from admins. I'm not mad because the girl "broke up" with me or my "reputation" is tarnished among the chicks, rather it's because there's a possibility of privacy invasion going on.

Every problem has a solution, and I'm going to suggest some.

1. The ability to check PM history may not be possible to remove, but I'm sure we can remove it from PRs and only allow snk to look at our PMs.

If that power can't be removed, then here's the other solution.

2. Make our house private. There's 2 different issues in this.

a) Admins should not be allowed to warp to others' houses. Likewise, only snk should be able to. I'm confident that he's able to handle that power with maturity since he's old enough. (Enough of "Age doesn't define maturity". We gotta admit that the so called "mature and young" admins are actually not mature and they're just good at having a split personality.

b) Add an option for us to be able to invite our someone to our house, yet disallowing anyone else to enter randomly, so we can have some private conversations. There's 3 options currently. If we check "Open to public" or "Open to friends", we are allowed to invite players but at the same time, other players are also able to enter without an invitation. This has happened so many times especially when I don't want the two players to know. However, if we check "kick visitors" it won't let us invite anyone.

Of course, even if the girl was making a blatant lie that admins can check PMs, I still want solution #2 to be implemented. In case you admins would like to do some investigations, the gang she's mainly in is "iLoverz". It's full of socialising weirdos in there. I've talked to loads of Arabs and somehow they are related to iLoverz.

Player Relations are there to do there job. They are only allowed to read your messages if they have a report to follow up on; that being said not everyone will always go by the rules that is why the staff recruitment process takes so long. If you would like to submit a complaint on a Staff Member "click here". Snk has not got the time to handle every single report that involves messages being read as many people use vulgar language over Private Messaging and that is why Snk isn't the only one running the community.
Same goes with Player Relations warping to your house, if your 'private conversations' involve breaking rules then they have the right to monitor; thats there job.

PR's jobs require the ability to read PM's, enter houses, warp players and such. They are not only there for fun, but to keep the players in check and to keep the community somewhat intact. Snk is the manager and basically the only active scripter right now so if you think he's got the time to check everybody's messages to watch for vulgarity, racism, sexual harassment, etc, you're insane. Yes, our "private" messages aren't so private but it helps catch the bad players. If there is truly a PR reading private messages to players you should submit a ticket about it with proper evidence.

No Pr would check pm history out of curiosity. We only check pms from reports, as well as special accessions such as the tts incident.

I honestly cannot see the issue with staff entering your house either, as long as you're not misbehaving you shouldn't be worried about a staff having to warp to you or enter your house.

All I see is "only snk should" which is hilarious. Do you see snk doing PR work? No. He's always busy, he won't even bother to open a player's PM, unless it was hacking related. Bri can see your TTS messages, because that's not a PM (Private Message, if you're aware.) That is a GS (Gang Message, where everyone in the gang tag can see.) I personally don't think they snoop through people's PM unless you were reported.
That right that they have should stay, end of story.

I've had this complain some months ago. they can only check your pm if you are getting reported.
