I haven't been online to actually see this all happening yet, but what seems like a better idea to promote more actual basing, instead of rush and leaving, is to be added to the draw after like 15 or 30 minutes of holding base in that entry period. It would stir up more base activity this way I think.

Or find a way to increase gralat payment in basing, I know that'd get me basing more.

Sure, we're removing the items that the events players want removed, but what are we putting in as replacement? We're putting in items that the traders would be disgusted by. By removing the sabers and gas guns, we're appeasing the event players, but by adding items that traders oppose, it's possible that a thread similar to this one will be made by the traders. The point is, we shouldn't be letting the event players choose new substitutes. We should be letting the traders decide.

This loops back to another major issue that this thread represents: Era's player base is divided into different categories. When we want to promote one of these sectors, we need to make sure we're not totally screwing another sector. By establishing these sectors and by balancing them, we can avoid future negative player responses such as (most of) this thread.

This is why the prizes should be a mix of both auction and Ec items- but nothing too big from either.
