I think hes talking about the head? as you can see, its a few pixels shorter. Also, the hair cluster on the left side abruptly ends both coming down and reaching the right cluster. Hair would look really funky if it suddenly stopped and changed into a different look. Eyes angled down to the outside makes the person look sadder generally. I advise you to make the eyes 4x4 with a black line above to give the eye-dea of an eyebrow. Now keep in mind to use one of those columns for the white of the eye if you still are following my basic idea...

TLDR: Make head taller, Hair consistent, and eyes 4x4

I can see what you mean with the hat. The star has a completely different light source.
What about the barrel?

Looks great! The top of the barrel doesn't really look like if it's a "hole".
