I rarely use melees though, besides my 9 dmg Candycane Bar. That's all I need, so in my eyes, melees don't benefit me, but I'm sure they're great for other people. The hat is cool though, it is simple and nicely made.

Some vip items hm...
-Maybe make some items that are more of animation. (Like headpull, head bounce) etc.
-For vip it also couldn't hurt to allow them to make more money. (Such as a 5% increase) More the better
-Elusive furniture items
-Maybe for vips give them 1 ec a month :P
