Try fixing the shapes on your hats. I notice all of your hats have a straight/jaggie design.

You're thinking right, but the mask is TOO simple. Also, make the frames a little slower, it is going wayy too quick in my opinion.

Pretty good for a beginner! Just practice, and you'll become better!
As Daze previously said, focus on pillow shading, you should try to stop pillow shading.
Focus on a light source, maybe up the hat/character. Read more guides you'll become better and better.
