How about people who suicide or murder? Don't they become earthbound spirits? Since they can't go up.

According to the bible, I read something about when they die, their spirits are held by God under an altar or something. I'll go check on that verse. And you don't go straight to heaven or hell if you die. There's judgement day too, it opens at that time. I don't know why they think and make that up, the majority of religions. I'm no religious but they're reading it all wrong. No offense, that's why they think religions are "brainwashing" or "bad" It's because they're not teling the truth at all. Preach the truth please.
This is from Revelation: 9 ¶ And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:
This is what Lazarus have experienced when he died and then he got resurrected by Jesus. Ecclesiastes: for the living know that they will die; but the dead know nothing… their love, their hatred, and their envy have now perished.

The spirits doesn't really know anything. They are asleep when they die.
