And clearly it's not meant for kids if it says "not suitable for all ages".

And yes I would like to have the ability to say as I please (besides racism). Although I try to not curse at other players, but it still happens on occasion nonetheless.

Would you say its not suitable for adults? Says all ages because yes you could have a scarred kid, but also do the same adult, my take, since we are taking our own meanings, Is that it was there for law purposes. Like to protect cases against them, Then again it could be a simple rating.
And you dont know what you missed with spongebob....

Suitable for adults? I think if they're mentally and emotionally stable then yeah. And it may not necessarily be the best community for kids, but neither is call of duty and kids play that.

[ALSO ADDED THIS TO THE MAIN POST]

First of all, I wanna say this. Cursing at someone is not harassement, please look up the definition, whoever said this.

Second, this option would make kids and adults be able to enjoy the game equally. If a kid turns the swear filter off well that's not our fault. That's the parents' responsibility to monitor what their kids are doing.

This option has also existed on the PC era server for years, but it's different from the Ol West one. On PC era you pick the severity of the swear filter depending on the player's age. The younger, the more curse words are censored.

I'm sure over 75% of jailings are because of swearing, so if some of those jailed players are kids, well obviously Graal didn't teach them those words. Admins could really focus on other more important problems than somebody using the f bomb that has no bad intentions. Harassment/Hacking/Innapropriate gang pictures/staff impersonation/boosting should be the main focus.

I would of thought that after all these years, admins would of realized that people will always find a way to evade the swear filter no matter how many things they add to the swear filter. It's to a point where they are adding combination of letters that sound like swear words but aren't.

Please draw the line between cursing and harassment. These are two completely different things and are easy to differentiate.

By not having this option, Graal basically assumes that all of its players are kids, which is not true. A lot of younger players grew up with this game and are now older.

Cursing being immature, foolish, and rude is only your opinion I doubt many people agree with that in the gaming community.

And your statistics are based off of personal opinion, not data. People curse for many more reasons than to attack someone mentally, with that being said yes you're right people do attack one another with curse words often. But it's way less than 90% of the way curse words are used.

And for the younger kids, once again it'll be a damn option so if kids want to be exposed that's their choice, BUT they had the choice so if they start to become vulgar that's on them.

Love to keep this chat going, But why are you comparing this with call of duty? Is there one thing similar? They're both games, but so different from there. That would be like calling a ice cream truck a rock mobile. One one hand you have a mic , unlimited use of speech as long as a dozen people dont report you. Even then your not likely to get punished. Then you graal, the flawed filter that catches random words and calls them curse words. The main difference between a guidance game , and a 17+ game isnt that hard to figure out. Just remember no hard feelings here

The reason I bring of call of duty is because even on there people curse all the time, and there's not really a big problem besides the racism. Because you can just mute them, and this would be a settings option so you could just turn on the swear filter if you don't want to see the swear words.

You can, but not before hearing the swear words themselves. Not to mention That that game is specifically meant for those approaching the edge of adulthood,This is not the case in graal. And whats the real use for it?All i see is that people want to swear out kids because they got killed or something. Doesn't matter how you look at it, Cursing and swear words from the start was and always will be used to hurt someone. Its in the definition itself Don't believe me? Search it up. You keep talking about the settings, This whole idea is unusable, if you block someone swearing,They could just use the already flawed system to continue swearing with unregistered words. This also doesn't help because when you are listening to someone with swearing disabled, Theres still a chance it will be blocked, because of the filter seeing it as a hidden swear word. Then you'd have to turn it on and off every-time you talked to someone.Something like this looks nice on the surface but wont end up well in the long run.

Last thing I'll also say. West has no chat filter and it works fine. I'm done with this too.

Like he said, Ol West works fine, why can't we add it on this server?

I agree with this idea 100%!! If you have the filter off you can swear and see others swearing, but if the filters on, you can't do either. Therefore if you have a problem with "getting your feelings hurt" just turn the filter on. I really see nothing wrong with this idea.
