Era server is 24/7 active online.
It only shutdowns for updates/fixes.

It would be run 24/7 if you are talking about renting a player world regardless if your computer is on or not. And yes you could get iOS using regular tileset, but in order to get your server on iOS it would take A LOT of work and development.
