    Taste to smell

    Okay this is something i've ALWAYS wondered about Taste Versus Smell why is it that sometimes i smell something and it tastes like that smell? sometimes it the other way around like i smell something dislike the smell then it tastes EXACTLY like it smelt does this happen to anyone else???

    Lol yes, like when someone's wearing extremely strong perfume or cologne I can taste it. It's horrible, but they are connected.

    Ugh i hate how the world works...Except when stuff smells good i always know i can eat das nice gud stuff up all da tiem (that was purposely HORRIBLY written)

    That's because the taste comes from the smell, when you smell food it tells your brain what to expect for your gustatory cells, that's why when you hold your breath while eating you don't taste the food, because your gustatory cells are deactivated.
