John I don't understand why it can't all be on one day, if you have everything working the time between matches won't even be close to as long as last year which means all the rounds could be completed even faster than last year.
It is hard enough committing for the GST, now we have to commit 3 weekends in arow? Have fun watching alot of good members not being able to particpate. This year will be the battle for who's most active, just like basing. Then again the map you made is just like basing, but without flags.
People's different time zones and just less staff hired so they won't "screw" it up. Mistakes from staff were made that included even killing a... actual competitor. *facepalm*
That's Unfortunate
3 weekends is a lot...
You guys are forgetting a big factor, time.
If each round is 20 minutes (more or less), it is going to take ~3 hours for the first 8 rounds.
But if we had to put all the rounds together, it would take about 6 hours.
How about we do the first 8 this week, and the second 8 next week? (all in 2 days) I'm just doing that so Arabs and European players get a chance to play at a better time. (<1AM)

To be honest, I'm prepared. Five redbulls. No really, everyone will be able to participate, the GST would end at 2AM in my timezone (Germany, Europe). That's fine for me and I guess for others, too. Two weekends would reduce the number of players that are able to participate.
And for the people complaining about the new map, here's how the old map looked.
So stop complaining and check the difference.
And I'm extremely sorry for the gangs that are planning on camping this year, the map is kind-of open, hard to camp, huh?
So good luck on getting skills, you'll need it.

Why would each round take 20 minutes? They wouldn't even last 10 max, the only thing that wasted time last year was setting up each match. All you need to do is get 3-4 staff to help you run the GST the day it starts, just make sure they will be on and actually know what they are doing. This saves you the hassle of doing everything yourself which will make setting up each round take awhile.
If you start it Saturday then make it a bit earlier or whatever time so the "Arab" players can play longer. You can set it whatever time and the rest of us will do it, almost everyone would rather spend 1 day playing for the GST rather than 3.
Lastly last years map was much better, look at how much cover the new one has, it is just overkill when it comes to barricades and walls. You think more cover = less spam, but it is actually the opposite. More cover = more spam because people will just sit and spam knowing that they are protected by different walls.
