I worship.
I pray.
You denounce.
You slay.
I hope.
I seek.
You hunt.
You sneak.
We gather.
We hide.
You stalked.
You cried.
I bled.
I hurt.
You fled.
You worked.
Despite my faith, despite my desires.
Despite the time on my knees in countless hours.
No answers, none to which that I seek,
Have come forward to protect me, the kind, the meek.
Yet you, who have forsaken the highers,
Stand forth to protect all of the liars.
You, without faith and full of ambition,
Walk clear with a path enlightened in vision.
And me... what do I have to show?
With your free blade at my enslaved throat?
You're life is liquid, my fate is stone.
And with so many others blind... how could I feel so alone?
Yet every night, despite this, I kneel down and pray.
And ask just who it is who hath been lead astray.
