So that makes chem useless, as pking at forts was about the only use for it

It's not about respawning with low health, it's to give a gap between the time you kill someone, and them coming back into a base.
Imagine you're basing in a packed base with lots of members on each side. Do you really want to be killing the base defenders, just for them to spawn at the base entrance, then run back in and start shooting you within 3-4 seconds after you've killed them when you're likely already hurt?
That extra few seconds the respawn adds means that as an attacker you may be able to kill enough enemies to take the base before they can get back in time.
As a defender, if you're a strong gang then it means you can keep pushing back attackers/ get some time to set up after taking the base.
The change benefits everyone from basing, the only reason people are unhappy about it is because it 'slightly' reduces the amount of pks they can get during fort.

This change isn't my idea alone, it was agreed on by the majority of staff. There was a 2 and a half hour call between like 15 staff members just discussing these changes alone.
Majority of the points on the first page were part my idea/ part other staff, other things not listed that were added in game- eg respawn rooms- were others ideas by other staff that I also supported.
Are you going to notify us like a week or two in advance before everything switches?
For the people complaining about fort, I am trying to get a new event added which will basically be the same concept as what fort was (getting pks in a time frame) except instead of it being held in bases, it will be held in the pk arena near start, and will be based on the top 3 players with the most pks. Will probably run in the time space between the new fort events.
For those who missed it earlier, fort is getting reworked to make it include the actual basing part rather than just pks
That’s a good idea, but since it’s individual players, I suggest doing the top 10 players receive a cash price based on where they placed. Forts usually attract 50+ people, and more than 3 spots should be rewarded or else people might not show up seeing how low the chances are
BTW, fort in bbz just ended and darkside won first place and theres no second and third place, did fort just got updated?
So after 2 forts first darkside won bbz second at gz Gpn won 1 and Some gang name bozos got 2nd with 1 kill.
So in order to place in a fort u need to take base or pk the base?
Yea it got updated so only PKs from the gang holding the base count towards the total PKs. This means you half to keep fighting for the actual gang base, try to take it and then PK to try and win.

No... The reward aside from gralats is that you can get fast pks compared to normal gameplay. There doesn't need to be rewards on top of that

Kind of happy fort was reworked, because doing it led to a discovery that kind of showed how broken it was. For whatever reason, Fort used to count DEATHS as kills. So the winner wasn't really decided on who killed the most, it also included who died the most and just counted that as part of the total kills...
Advantage of this new system and disadvantage of it.
Advantage- it encourages more basing and positive pking when fort.
Disadvantage- the gang which home base the base will always win 1st place. 2nd and 3rd place will be won by other gangs with low amount of points. People won't be joining fort gang anymore but they will join the home base gang.
Give it time, looking at the event running now, not everyone has realised they have to take the base. If all participating gangs were going for the base, the home base wouldn't really be able to keep holding it. The only advantage they'd get is the initial opening part of FORT as they'd already have the base.
If it becomes a constant problem then we could probably kick out the existing gang holding the base when the event starts, lock all the doors for a few minutes and then have them all open for gangs to run in at the same time to try be the first to take the base
And yea we know about the bug not counting kills, that'll be looked at soon. There is no way to actually test fort changes before they're done so think of the first few as bug tests

sadly 50% of forters still havent realized in the first minutes of fort that you needed to take base all they did was to block door and its kinda annoying

Fort should be fixed, the issue was specifically with boxfactory being named wrong in the script, so should be working for other bases.
The PK arena event is likely the next thing to be added. When implemented it should happen 45 minutes after every 2nd fort killer event and last 30 minutes.
Cool im excited since no one even goes to pk arena its likely needed to be used or it will be waste

i truly agree since the new forting system applies to all bases why not add guerre?
I personally liked the new version of forting.
I think that it gave gangs much more focus and competition over the primary base holders, and I saw this at Box Factory. It was a huge back and forth battle that was frustrating yet rewarding at the same time.
It's a love-hate thing right now.

I think requiring the flag is a step in the right direction. I think gangs need a little more time to organize and prepare an attack on the base. I think a 5-10 minute warning that fort will be starting would be helpful, otherwise the gang holding the base at the start has a huge advantage.
And now base gangs will profit even more.
