This is just a side-quest, it doesn't need to be perfect. They still work for it- all those scripts/ganis/gfx/level/sfx -were all made by the team.
If it's a huge one, then there's something that need lots of effort in it.

this is taking too much time for.... idk what the availible prizes are, anyone care to list them?

Why to do this quest? Just for a hat and a melee?

Well just like other side quests for holidays. For limited time items. They said it's basically like the king crab where you could get the crab melees. It's also like killing giant NPCs like the Cupid, leprechaun, and ther was something else. That all have a 5-10% chance of getting. It might seem frustrating, but the work pays off once you get a melee/item that not everyone has the patience to get.

The hats are awesome that's what I wanted, achievement(which I never got!), spider web shooter(halloween spiderweb?) an ok looking sword and a reskin dagger...

Side quest what does this mean. So ur saying because it's a side quest they should make a crap attempted or something?mis that their excuse? That it's a side quest...

I agree that this quest is too hard; I mined 435 rocks and only got 2 big holes.

I've mined about 200+ rocks and have not gotten a single hole yet.

So tired of all the whining that goes on about these quests..... it's too hard, it takes too long, the items aren't good enough. Well it's a hell of a lot better than the bee quest last summer where people could steal the hives you got digging flowers. I like the hats. I like the inflate effect that happens when you kill someone with the spider weapons. And I'm glad that it's difficult cause it means more people will give up early and the items will be more rare. By the way, and it may be obvious - but don't even try the quest without having revive. You'll get killed by the spider queen and it's babies and warp out to the hospital and then have to try again to get another large hole.

-.- I did the quest and i got nothing from it. Not sure if I killed the giant spider or it glitched out on me.

Me and my cousins mined about 400+ rocks and didnt get a hole we need this fixed were getting plenty of conversations from other people too. If you can make it better to get holes please fix this.

Those 400+ rocks are a profit, I don't see a problem just to get the items fast when you can earn minerals and $ at the same time.

Today tere was a message from snk saying it is easier to get hole by 20%

It's pretty hard.

That was my mistake. Now I have to try to get another hole :(

So when you find a big hole, just go into the spiders home, slaughter her children and brutally manslaughter her, then my friends you will get a reward :D

By the way, does anyone know when this quest will last? Not that I don't like mining finally being used for something.

I like how you can pick up the spider webs and use them as throwing weapons.

Yeah..its definitely that easy with the 2+ hours of mining, then the crazy amount of 'child spiders' that prevent you from getting more than 7 hits before you die and to top it off, more than half the time the 'Queen spider' vanishes.

Like taking candy from a baby. :cool:

Had 2 holes spawned in less than 15mins and nothing! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

I have about 400+ rocks and I have only gotten one hole. Although sadly I will never know if that hole was going to give me a weapon or not since I blew my chance due to no revive :'(
