It would make it more challenging, as you wouldn't be able to spam as much. This would hopefully encourage people to be more skillfull when fighting someone, as they wouldn't want to waste their bullets.

Would you be able to buy Ammo Packs? (Like 2000 rifle ammo for 20 gralats)
The thing is these more expensive guns cost $100k+, having low ammo makes no sense, and this will be annoying having to run back and forth to gun stores when we're paying tons of gralats for more expensive guns that might only have 3000 ammo. You burn that ammo in 5 minutes
So ammo differentiate.
- Shotgun
- Rifle
- Sniper
- Pistol
- Explosive
- Ion ammo (have its own market)
- Flamethrower ammo (gas)
- Electric weapons (it should have a rechargable station but instant recharge with payment)
Or would it be specific ammunition for every gun? Because I don't think so, and I don't think you meant it that way either. But overall, I approve to the concept.
Update:
This is a pretty huge implementation. As we would have to make it logical for all the guns. For instance, explosive guns should have more damage dealt because its ammunition is more expensive and that, it is quite absurd to have it only deal a little damage. Also, we should have more rewards when we PK out there in the field. It's not fair to have limted ammo when we can't even benefit more off of it. We should be able to get money and "more" money when we kill an individual. And so on.
Shouldn't pistol, rifle, shotgun, and sniper ammo be the same?
What can a "gun" admin do? Games are all about updates and modifications, adding new ideas. So what if PKers/Basers don't like it? I'm a PKer and baser and I kinda already love this system. Besides, this plan would be for ALL of us players and it is not just affecting a small group.
this is actually a great idea. will keep spammers from not spamming and less lag. however, i dont see any other admins agreeing with me
I think it's not a bad idea. It would definitely take a lot of alteration because of the varying gun styles. But if it's seen as worth it, then I can get behind it.
It promotes players to have variation within guns as Sam said, which I'd like to see, because literally every player is saving for, wants, or has the same basic guns more than half the time. Along with that, it really can boost the skill of players. You'd have to make a strategy in order to limit ammo use, which is a good challenge.
But at the same time, it still wouldn't necessarily stop spamming. Which is still kind of an annoying thing players do mindlessly, but I don't think it'll ever be possible to fully stop that without totally limiting things.
I strongly disagree, this will only make the Era population want to leave. First chem, then this.
What has this game come too.
Sounds interesting. Basing is pretty dull as it is IMO. Different bullet types would add some variation.
However, i don't think this idea would work well in spar; all i want to do in spar is focus on dodging, not constantly switching ammo types because i've run out of one, everyone would just buy the 'best' ammo type for spar; it's a small arena, tactics are limited to dodging, positioning, and shooting in a timely manner, varying bullet types would just be an annoyance, but that's my opinion.
DULL?!?!
If you are meaning not as many gangs raiding each other, you are incorrect.
Ominus, P v P, Brazil, Wyvern have been warring for tachi (2 days now, good pks btw)
M2S (BH)is getting raided from multiple gangs throughout the day like GAZA, Wyvern, NubUnit, Pking4Life and other gangs that wanna double.\
2 2 3's (PZ)have been going back and forth with DarkSide for a day now.
Obsidian (BBZ)have been getting raided by Darkside (As they are attempting to claim bbz back).
Embro (Mafia)have been getting raided by Thieves Guild Inc
GPN (Gangsta)has been getting the least amount of action but they have been getting raided by gold, and another gang I forget their name
Godelic (Guerre)and Elevation were going at it yesterday because Godelic thought they could double them.
Region (Neo)has been getting raided A LOT
NBK (Lethal) has been getting raided by 5-6 gangs a day
If anything basing has picked up.
Because you don't have an infinite reserve of ammo. You can still spam but if you do it means you might run out of ammo when you need it and you'd have to leave whereever you are to go get more.
As I said in the original post this isn't 'just' about fixing spamming, it also leads onto other things such as more gun diversity, as some of the more expensive 'op' guns would have slightly more expensive/ limited amount of ammo and so you would use it sparingly.

Spar wouldn't really be effected I mean you generally don't need a lot of ammo for each spar match so you'd just get more ammo when you saw you had 100 or so bullets left

dull in the sense that basing is always the same. You have the defending base using the same types of guns, standing behind doors spamming them with the attack team pretty much doing the same. Your basing experience is generally very similar any time you decide to do it

You are making it out to be more than it is. To say any of the era population will want to leave isn't even accurate

easier said than done.
When people have paid substantial real money for certain guns there is only so much you can do to the guns themselves before they become vastly different.
I don't really agree on that either, infinite ammo, or at least an excessive amount IS a large factor in the spamming culture of the game. Why do they spam? Because they don't care about how much ammo they have as it's infinite. If you had a maximum ammo capacity that was a number and then had prices for ammo then you would be less careless with how much you spam. Even if it's just a little bit, it would still be something. Sure the general guns wouldn't change all that much but you would definitely see a difference in certain explosive guns/ high tier guns as their ammo would be more expensive and so people may not use them as excessively as they currently do.
In those circumstances the only way to fix things is to implement new systems that take an outer approach on the issues

A lot of people are only focusing on individual aspects of this idea when you are meant to look at it as a whole. I listed multiple points on what a change like this would do, so you can't really single out a single point and use that as the reason why it isn't a good idea.
There are over 100 guns in this game, and that is probably even an understatment. The majority of stat combinations have already been done, and similar varient are also done. If you want to see more guns getting added to the game there has to be new systems implemented to allow for more variation.
This is an extreme example and isn't completely realistic but i'll give an example on what this could allow. It could potentially allow for gun types that are extremely powerful, but the drawback is they're costly.
For example I could add a rocket launcher that delt 20 damage. However the gun would only have a ammo capacity of 5, and each ammo could be sold at $1000-2000 gralats.
That way you have that damage potential in the game, however you would only see it used VERY sparingly because of the high cost.
Now obviously thats an extreme example but it should still give an idea.
The idea itself is very barebones. If you wanted to go further, rather than have gun types you could do it on weapon damage. So an 8 damage guns ammo could cost $5 gralats and then have a 9 damage gun be $15 etc. that could lead to more people opting to use a cheaper gun for the sake of cost saving. (However the reason I didn't propose this is because it would favour gralat pack buyers).
It could potentially even lead to some strong guns that would usually be sold for a high gralat price be sold cheaper and have the drawback being more expensive ammo.
For example I could sell a unique gun (unique gun being a gun that doesn't fall within the base category of a handgun, smg, rifle, lmg, sniper or explosive gun) with the same stats as the shipka (120k) for 60-80k. And then price the ammo for that gun as more expensive than it is for the standard ammo in order to balance out the cheaper cost. That way it could give some people the alternative to buy certain powerful guns that they otherwise wouldn't have been able to afford, and be able to use them just in more limited bursts than the players with the expensive gun as they may not always be able to afford to keep using it. However it still acts as an alternative and something different.
I really like this idea, but however I just do not see this working in a game like Graal. Mainly due to the gameplay mechanics. Ammo would run out VERY fast, due to players basically getting better and being able to dodge bullets better. For a system like limiting bullets to work this game needs a much more realistic aiming system with the gun, such as CSGO or COD or other similar FPS games. Currently players, no matter how 'skilled' can only aim in the general direction of their opposing player, meaning quite a number of bullets will be missed and wasted. The only time I can see this "limited ammo" system actually working is if the players shooting each other are in extremely close proximity of one another. I love the idea Sam, but the way the game currently plays does not support this idea of yours.
It's already been done on graal? Era PC has had a more complicated version of this system for 10+ years. Their fighting mechanics are the same as ieras, to an extreme even as most guns shoot faster on era pc than they do on iera. They also have individual ammo types for many guns and the ammo costs all across the guns is expensive.
Even iZone has this, the ammo capacity on some guns is like only 250. (or at least they had this the last time I played it, don't know whether they've also added unlimited ammo like iera).
This is not GTA V. Graal doesnt need to be realistic, graal needs to be enjoyable and that is what it's lacking of right now. This idea would make the game more tedious and stressing than what it already is, as 100 ammo is gone in a puff and regular pkers can spend up to 5k ammo a day which is nowhere near enough for what the profits of pking give.
Attacking snowmen, floating brooms, shapeshifting morphs and bullet-deflecting umbrellas, light sabers and your own laser firing guns are unrealistic too, will you remove those as well?

That wasn't a confirmed number it was just a rough estimate. And the 5-20 was depending on the type so handgun/ smg would be around $5, rifle ammo probably $7-8 and then the explosive ammo would be up to $20.
And that's not capacity, the capacity would be a couple thousand ammo so you'd buy 5-10 ammo packs of 100-200 for $5-20 each if you wanted to fully stock your ammo capacity.
Basically 1 body part would more or less pay for 100 bullets, and as I said there is nothing stopping you from picking trash you see whilst on the way to the ammo store to make the cost almost redundant

Also sometimes realism makes the game more fun. You may even have seen this thread before as it used to be quite common, but players asking for the ATMs ingame to work as they do in era pc. Where you would store/ take out money from them. It makes things take longer for the player, but the act of performing things such as physically taking out and depositing money is something some players find entertaining because it adds to the immersion of playing the game
Sammy.. I dont understand you.. you made those ion non realistic guns , yet you want era to be realistic , because from your idea , you want it to be realistic. You might aswell remove your ion guns or atleast make a new main skin for it as it doesnt fit your own idea. However.. I like this idea
There is a realism difference between semi futuristic guns and having an unlimited source of ammo.
Bringing up the ion guns is a cop out. If you want to call me out for adding futuristic things then say the same to every other futuristic weapon in the event store before I even added anything Ion.
As I have already stated, the event store/ holiday store aren't restricted to realism/ modern themed items. Name a single futuristic/ unrealistic gun I have sold in a gralat store.
None, but you should aswell talk about admins about reskinning the sabers/non realistic items. You make great guns but some time, you feel as if youre bored and you just decide to make those ion guns. However, many might not agree with me as i dont like ion guns, others do..
You can't judge popularity based purely on those servers having limited ammo as the causing factor.
Era pc is not an iPhone server therefore it, or any other of server will never be more popular no matter how good the server is.
Zone isn't popular because it does nothing new well and the tileset sucks. Had it been released before era then they'd probably be equally as popular.
People who have been playing era PC for 10 years haven't complained about the limited ammo feature or else they would have changed it. Server popularity as a whole does not give any indicator what so ever of whether a balance feature is effective or not
Well you can't just stick something in without it been tested because that would just be unfair and you would lose a lot of players seeing as I wouldn't want to run back and forth to ammo shops while basing because the leader may think your slacking etc

Y r u even comparing iera to era PC, they barely get 50 players online + you suddenly want to change something that would affect lots of things. It's just gonna make it worse for us players and Ofc we're going to complain
