I almost wonder if it would be better to give players 1 more hp xD
I think bitzsam should make a poll on this, I see a lot of yes and no's but I feel there are a lot of players who haven't shared their opinion
It would make things easier if people went through what i've posted in this thread before they comment because I feel like i'm resaying the same thing i've said to several other people.
There isn't a vote because I said this probably isn't even going to happen. This is a discussion on your opinions of why/ why you don't think it's a good idea. Not a yes or no poll.
As I have stated numerous times, IGNORE the guns that are explosive/ do 0.5 damage/ stacked damage. If this ever happened those would be balanced out accordingly to ensure they are not better/ worse, some of the stacked guns/ lower damage might even stay as they are. It is mainly the higher damage guns that cause the issues.
GM4 does 8-9 damage, not 9-10 like the bar. If bar was lowered to a 6 shot kill, it would not be the same as gm4 as gm4 would also be lowered and be a 7 shot kill. Meaning bar still kills in one less bullet.
Once again as I have said several times in this thread. The gun condition would still be in place just perfect shape would not give you a damage buff. However rusty shape WILL still give you a damage REDUCTION.
So you would STILL NEED TO MINE in order to repair your gun so that it still does its base damage. Repairing your gun to perfect shape would not do anything different to it being in good shape. But it means that your gun stays doing its max damage for 3 weeks instead of 2 (as good and perfect shape both would do the same damage) until the 4th week when it becomes rusty and you need to mine and repair.
I'd preffer keeping the extra dmg :)
This would be a great idea, but it would demolish the toughness of the BAR and would allow more skill to be implemented in basing. I agree. This sounds great, it'll make the game fun again. Next mission; destroy automatic weapons. Kidding.

Just slightly reduce the damage (or abilities) of a chem. Either way, that'd shatter many aspiring chem users dreams and it would allow for basing to involve a vast quantity of melees. With this new system, spammy weapons should be left out. Basing involves skill, not spamming at a door.
They should just update the structures of some bases to make this more competitive and less about spam. Basing gets boring when you're shooting at a door for hours at a time. That's not right. Basing should be about having a quality weapon and being skillful with it, that you can gather friends and take a base.
It is impossible to have a base like that unless it is like the southridge battle base or whatever it's called or having a layout like lethal. The whose basing mechanic relies on the base doors, and whenever there are doors there are people that can spam.
The issue isn't the bases it's the guns themselves
It's just about the player skill maybe and how fast people can actually take the base. But when you get 15+ members it's kinda hard, at the same time it's extremely fun in 15 v 15 situations, lots of pks!

Yeah, I'm 170/200, I'd like to have a Chem that's not nerfed
A lot of people have chem now so it's kinda becoming a potential reality for a nerf to come if it gets out of hand. Limitability allows for stronger weapons but at this point you see multiple people with chems daily, sometimes even 2-3 just in one base.
The guns themselves aren't the thing thats op it's just the explosive radius and the fact that when you have multiple guns doing it then it ruins the flow of basing.
Same thing happened with the minigun.
I'd also just like to point out I had nothing todo with the chem being added, and i've always been annoyed at the fact that an explosive gun was added with the current firerate it has, simply due to the explosion radius and that you don't even have to hit the person directly to damage them.
It's like the renegade blade. Is it OP against other melees? Sure. Will it get nerfed? No. Why? Because less than 10-15 people will ever have it (if that even, i'd say closer to 8 people) and therefore it isn't a problem when it's only 8/5000 active players.
If the chem gun on release was limited to the first 10 people who buy it and then nobody else could then the gun would probably even be buffed from what it currently is. But it isn't, and at this point i'd say closer to 40-50~ people have it/ are close to it, maybe even more.
just remove chem and replace it with a 200 EC healing, 8 dmg shooting, bullet blocking melee
I say put a cap on the gun, once a certain amount of people get it just remove it. There has been plenty of time to get one, and it's players faults for not working towards it. Simply allow only maybe 75-100 in game then totally remove it.
That will keep it rare and fair for the players who worked their butt off in the time being to get one. limiting the amount of chemical guns also means it doesn't need to be nerfed, which it shouldn't be either way considering how much it costs

Also sam its better for the gun descriptions like if it says gun is 8 dmg then its 8
The old ec shop should have been removed the chem is annoying now because of how many people saved for it

Imagine bar vs bar both of them needs 5 bullets so they die
Lets say bar now became 9 dmg both needs 6 bullets it's actually useless and from this i can predict that era deciding to get a better gun in future than bar which will be 10dmg.

Nothing happen to remove 1+ bonus damage for all guns everyday. Just continue to buy the guns for end up

Refunds for chem should be considered tho, considering many people bought them only for base

Some guns would have to be altered like pbp shotgun for example it would be almost impossible to kill someone if it did less damage.

I don't think you fully understand that this change effects ALL guns. I'm not saying your gun will be better i'm saying the gameplay will be better. All guns will be effected, so all guns will take 1 more bullet to kill. If a 7 damage gun is now doing 6 damage and a 9 damage gun is doing 8, they are still the same in terms of bullets needed to kill in comparison to what they are if they did the extra damage.
And I mean your last quote is basically you telling me not to do my job? This change would benefit game play in the long term for people, and whilst it wouldn't change the fundamentals of the gun hierarchy (which guns are better, which aren't) it would still fix some issues such as allowing for slightly longer life times for players attacking in bases which would lead to more use of tactics, would help out with those who are impacted by server lag as the extra bullet to kill could give them a chance to stay alive a bit longer, and would help make issues such as the PBP/ stacked guns being able to almost completely kill you when spawning not as punishing.
I swear if you do this.

What about the peope who worked for months to buy weapons like the Bar. My friend personally dug for months to afford all the weapons he has.
