Once you hit over 3 warnings it's an automatic jail, it doesn't start over.

Well you're obviously able to leave it on for shorter periods of time to equal the amount you would normally play. And there really are no actual punishments in a game, are there? A jailing is really pointless in my opinion... People obviously will do this again because most aren't racist or whatever it may be, just misunderstood or angry(which is temporary, isn't it?).

I have to agree with the consummation of jailing time just because you need to server your time.
The game is already ruined, what's the point of arguing when the new admins don't have enough expectations of truly being one?
High expectations were lowered by a hell lot.
In the past like Mystic said, receiving 3 warns=ban/jail.
We have a GAG system and NO new PRs uses it. They dislike someone for disturbing their friends or insult them, they immediately jail that player. Favoritism is involved since 2012.

"If you can't do the time, then don't do the time." - what are you referring to?
If you're an innocent player and was jailed by an admin because somebody is standing in a crowd or 'inside' your character, that makes the consequence even more dumb.
You get gagged/warned for something you didn't do or commit. You say one vulgarity/racist word and that's it, you're jailed for good.

The player will still do the time if its in offline mode.... he will still not be able to play graal. I find NO reason to ignore this idea. Its better for the device and for the player himself, he wouldnt need to keep checking his device and plugging it into a wall... Just make it so the timer counts while offline, Just understand that both online and offline lead to the same way, "The player will not be able to play"

if you're jailed for hundreds of thousands of hours, it's an effective ban.
It's a soft ban, we don't expect you to keep your phone plugged in and sitting with era for weeks open at a time.

We expect you to wait 2 months to be automatically released

I'm pretty sure staff does not observe specific players. "Sht" does count as evading the swear filter; however, a gag would have been more appropriate in that situation. It may depend a little on your ban-/jail-history though.

Being jailed should be a punishment for the player, it is there to teach him a lesson: "Don't ever do that again!" By idling and not having to check whether you're still online he does not learn anything. A real punishment is when you have to check every 15 minutes, to be active while doing something pretty boring. A lot of the jailed players want to play the game and that is why they try to be released as soon as possible; that leads them to bear the entire jail - they learn a lesson: "What I did was wrong, and leads to me not being able to play a game I would love to play right now." - trust me, most of the players try to avoid being jailed after having to be in there for once. They want to play the game, they want to play Era.

If I'm jailed, I can carry on with life safely.

Why don't you wait until your iPad charge at 100% instead of having it plugged?
