True, adding more levels create more lag but is correctable with server enhancement or upgrade.
Providing more space decreases the lag of the player density in a certain environment.
I figured this out with my game when lag started to play a role when it reached 102 players online. The community was small so putting them all at one place made the lag real I increased the player capacity on the server by replacing it with a new server(Transferring them caused issues with data loss made with the back-up of the past 12 hrs) The lag was still there so I added more levels Less lag then did the experiment again by putting them all at the same place and Tadaa Noticed it was the density![]()
I lost track Arrghh![]()

tldr; read the bottom of this post.
I've always said Era PC has much more content to offer than iEra.
Not so much as "more content", but more focus on what really matters.
They're a more PK-driven server than iEra is.
Even though their playercount is significantly lower than ours, I guarantee you that at least 80% of their playerbase is 100% committed to PKing.
They don't have silly things like the Z-Room, these hat shops or clothing stores; and they're not concerned for buying more melees than they need, begging for dolls, boosting about their stats so they can get the next bonus gun, or playing animal crossing with their personal or gang house.
They would recognize that stuff to be an utter waste of time.
While our server is bickering about "spar guns" and "basing guns", and which genre of player "gets the best rewards", or arguing about "free ec", they're just playing the game and adding to it.
The PC Era server is centralized around PKing-- there is no segregation of "basers" and "sparrers"; it's all classified as "PKing".
People who are good at sparring are good at basing; and vice-versa.
This is because they've got a basing system that exercises the same skill-sets as sparring does, so it appeals to all players.
It's a system that continually challenges players as they pit themselves against one-another; and the more they lose, the harder they work towards improvement.
It doesn't give them as much of a crutch as iEra's does; they actually have to put in an effort to dodge bullets to be a successful gang.
They're not thinking about shoving hotdogs in their mouth or using stupid healing melees; and they're not thinking about meleeing a fricken' chest.
They focus on the gun play; in it's rawest form.
They don't spam hallways, they prefer open areas where they can exercise their dodging abilities.
They appreciate a challenge.
And when they're PKing, they don't give themselves stupid goals, like "100k kills here I come!".
Nor are they wasting their energy trying to get a high kill streak.
They're PKing to PK. One kill after another. No goal in mind other than to continually take on the next opponent(s).
TLDR: START HERE:
At any rate, this benefits the development because the centralization and wide-spread appeal towards PKing allows them to put all of their efforts into the one field.
The staff don't have to worry about catering to 8+ different player preferences, because everybody generally is there for the same thing-- to PK.
So instead of the staff saying, "Okay- you work on this hat shop, you work on Countryside, you work on Arcade, etc.", they say, "Let's expand on PKing by giving them more overworld space to allow for more bases."
And their events are pretty much the same way-- they generally all have an element of PK to them.
As far as being "more experienced staff", I don't know.
I mean, last I logged on, there's people on the staff team that I don't even recognize.
This means that they couldn't have started before 2010.
And the guys at the top rung of the team- Snk and myself outrank them in experience.
I think our team is able to put in the work; we just don't have the luxury of having a playercount that gravitates towards one thing, because we've created a system that divides them.
Additionally, PC Era doesn't have the limitations that iEra has.
iEra has a higher playercount, so changes effect more people.
This means that any change is a potentially large liability; if it's not embraced gracefully by our playerbase.
Also, iEra is dealing in real-life money. This enhances that liability even further.
PC Era's got an economy of their own where the currency is made and spent in-game.
