i remember there being a tutorial on youtube. you need to minimize your colors to 6 (or how ever many colors for belt,sleeves,etc). then, at least for photoshop, you can convert the rgb file into an index format. I forget how to do it completely but i know those are components of the process

For some reason I can't find the screen shot but I renamed a file where it wasn't working.. and it just messed up the hair. >.<

If Im understanding correctly, it should appear if you create a palette, save it, close all tabs except the file and open up the tab again to select palette
