You will learn after the first week or so that you won't need to bring much. I only bring one binder, a folder and like 2 notebooks. My backpack is rather light. There's nothing "wrong" with a big backpack other than you could be counted as a nerd. But then again it all depends on your high school, some are worse then others.
You could throw me into the wolves
But i'll come back as the leader of the pack
and I will build my empire

Personally for me, I only went to traditional Highschool my Freshman year. However, I have some tips up my sleeve :0

-Don't get involved with upperclassmen (11th/12th grade), just stay at a friendship level if you do... Trust me.

-Stay on track! If you fall behind on work you'll have a hard time catching up.

-Try to distance yourself from Drama, If it gets out of hand you'll just be inconveniencing the administrative office and they might not help you later down the road when you really need it.

-Stay on the good side of your teachers, they might give you a little more time on assignments if you need it.

-It is good to mature a little bit as you're getting older, but remember you're still young. Have fun okay? If any of your friends that you make give you sh*t for being you then drop em, you don't need those kind of people in your life.

    Here's some more:
    * be involved, time flies in high school
    * do not take easy classes for granted, use your time wisely
    * don't hang out with the wrong crowd, they will drag you down. (learned from experience)
    * try your hardest, and do tougher classes as that will help you down the road if you can
    * organization is key to do well and also set time aside to do some studying (I do 30mins depending if I have a test or not)
    * don't be a social outcast, friends will be helpful in classes and help you through times
    * have fun, these will probably be your 4 most fun years of your life
    * do not give up, you will need to push through some days, it's not a walk in the park
You could throw me into the wolves
But i'll come back as the leader of the pack
and I will build my empire

    Just be yourself.
Also, there will be many that try to pressure you into doing something not so good, like drugs, and smoking. I recommend staying away from them, or turn down their offers.
High school usually has a lot of clubs, and you should definitely join a few, meet new people and enjoy the activities they contain. ^^

When I went into high school, all I did was study. I wasn't there to make friends, and if someone wanted to be friends with me, that was fine. School is a place for studying, and when I went to HS, all I saw were ear buds, phones, make up, and those obnoxious Bluetooth speakers on desks instead of papers.

That's why I studied really hard and went to college instead of becoming a Junior.

    Don't date.
    Don't wear shortie short shorts.
Do not use a huge backpack.
Do your homework and pay attention.
    Have fun.
Try not to get bullied, either.
I can't choose what I wear because of a uniform and expected to get the best grades, don't be like me taking an hour off of studying.
