Ser has announced that birthday hats will be a monthly thing, it will no longer be 1 hat per staff.
Instead 1 hat per month.

I somewhat disagree with the two replies we have above.
First and foremost, the reason why Ser wanted to have monthly hats, is because not a lot of hats were submitted by players nor by the "birthday"-staff. We just didn't have enough.
Instead, our own staff (in the majority of cases GFX artists) had to work on the hats.
This stole a lot of time from them which they could potentially have invested into working on major projects.
If more hats were submitted by players, I am sure we could re-implement one hat per birthday.
