That's how I write the date, in Europe and Asia it's this way, in the US it's the other way around.

I never understood American dates. It should go up in length order so day is smallest then month then year. 16/09/13 makes more sense than 09/16/13

Not that hard to understand. Don't go hating on the American way just because it's not your way.
Both ways are logical.
