The item you get is a free item. The VIPs costs exceed over $7500 based on just the perks you get. Just because some VIPs have been good doesn't mean that's the standard you should expect for every VIP.
Don't like it, don't buy it. But with what VIP gives you, perks like speedboost, unlimited revives and prefect shape guns, it's cheaper to buy VIP and get those than buy them separately.
Era already gives more perks/ bonuses for VIP than any other server for the same prices
