Bar:
So I was pking with some of these guns in bases solo, with a gang, and street pking and while I won't list every minor detail, I'll talk about the major stuff. The Bar was nowhere near effective as it used to be, to the point where I stopped using it. I feel its lost its effectiveness, even when tap fired its just too slow regardless of if i timed my taps *what I do for semi guns like ump45* or if I just pressed fired as fast as I could. Its fire rate was hit way too hard. Its not as good in street pk since it was usually up in the air about the bar or shipka being better due to the bars rof compared to the shipkas good rof plus dual bullets, but now the shipka took that which brings me to my next gun, the shipka.
Shipka:
Far more effective than the bar was for basing, pretty much the king of basing guns now. Bars were laughably easy now *which kinda sucks since I liked the challenge, even with skilled players i didnt have much trouble* and it pretty much dominated most other guns. The guns changes felt necessary, never had much of a reload and had a high clip, feels more fair. Still the same for street pk but has more use than the bar since its rof holds up better and shoots dual bullets, id recommend it over the bar for now. My go to gun now
P2k's:
Doesn't feel like they changed much, still kinda annoying to fight. Shipka did ok against it. Didn't see as much of them yesterday so i still need more results.
The 8 dmg gun group:
Ghost m4: more spar oriented than basing although it still could hold up in bases due to its low freeze and good rof, but now i wouldnt even bother in bases, I destroyed each one with the shipka easily
G36: its ok. Just ok. Learn its tap fire pattern for best results
Ump45: its a bit better than the g36 since it seems to shoot faster, id always steer people towards this if they didnt wanna save up for a really high priced gun, even more so now compared to the bar
Ion carbine: i dont really see this outside of spar so idk, maybe someone else could comment on this
Souizen: not good. I used to use it in certain basing and pk situations against fast guns or multiple people but now its way too slow to do so, and since i dont spar, its just there in my inventory
Tommy gun: one of the best guns in this group
Now for the ones i dont have or really didnt see, they all pretty much got the same treament so if you have one of these you can make a comparison using the stats list.
My biggest issue with the whole nerf thing is this group of guns, really only nerfed due to the bar being nerfed. They have varying price ranges so the whole "because theyre high end guns" thing doesnt really make sense here. There wasnt any issue with these guns, if it isnt broken then dont fix it. Some of these guns like the gm4, g36/ump45, souizen felt versatile in whether they were more spar or pk/basing oriented with some leaning more towards one way, but now theyve all been pushed towards spar due to the rof nerfs and the gm4 and souzien feel strictly for spar, i wouldnt go near a base with them and theres way better street pk guns. But then theres spar, even tho its not my thing ive done it enough to understand it, and idk if i could recommend the gm4 over the ump45. The ump45 is good enough to spar with and the gm4 was like the step beyond but now it doesnt feel like much of a step, id tell people to get the ump45 and save the rest and go for the shipka or pbp next if they dont have one or just save it if they have both. And theres the low priced 8 dmg guns like the ap7 and desert eagle, they actually feel too useful for their price in comparison to these guns since they werent touched, which is odd to say. These guns shouldnt have been touched.
Pbp shotgun: still good, its reload is a bit longer but thats fine with me
Closing thoughts: Only the bar and p2k's needed a nerf tbh. P2k's still seem ok, bar was overdone. I take pride in my pking to where i focus strictly on skill and could go up against multiple people since that's basically what pking is in a way, and the bar just doesnt hold up due to it being way too slow, you get overwhelmed too quickly, the shipka handled that well tho. These other guns, especially the 8 dmg gun group, shouldnt have been touched at all. BitzSam, youre saying you dont like that people use just certain guns but theres nothing you could really do about that, thats the way the game was built up. Prices vary from like $600-$200,000 gralats due to the prices the staff set, you can't have true balance with that. People will always flock towards the high end stuff because its supposed to be the best, higher prices for high quality and bestter results. People always try to shout "pay2win" due to prices, but this isnt a pay2win game, its more "pay2haveanedge" if anything, not a single person in this game dominates just because they have a bar, gm4, minigun or any high end gun. Era just looks pay2win on the surface but when you actually look into it, its not like that. Calling it pay2win is just being blind about things. Also, that problem was being fixed just by adding more shops, like the ump45 was one of the best things to happen in era because it was pretty much the line to compare other guns to. You could use that for the rest of your graal career if you wanted, it was that well rounded. Anything more was just a personal luxury. Now i wouldnt push people past it. The price-to-performance ratio is messed up, the bar isnt worth it compared to the ump45, neither is the gm4, both had quite an edge due to them costing over twice as much but now that edge is minimal. Also, if this was also to help new players feel like they can compete, theyll just eventually end up getting the same stuff the pros have so thats never gonna change. I know you wanted to go towards the skill route, but this isnt how it should've been done, needed much more time and thought put into it all, not just change it all at once. I know its only been a day, which is why i listed this as day 1, but it doesnt take long to figure out whats going right and wrong when you've been playing for years. Ill be honest as well, Bitzsam, judging by your reaponses to a lot of these posts, you don't seem like you'll change things back no matter what we say, seems to be more of only justifying your actions rather than discussing them.
But most of this is opinion based, I'm sure others had different experiences, but I still do think that this was poorly done
