A word starts to lose its pretense when it's used too often-it's like saying 'sorry' repeatedly in a sentence (basically a cliché).

At some point, it just loses the 'umph' that you're trying to use with it. Just use synonyms like 'Mr.' or 'Esq.'

Ex. 'Esq. (Frost) Zenon' or 'Mr. Zenon'
