Good insight, well thought out.
Some things in response, is this all worth it to you when the alternative method of resetting everything and taking it one step at a time still hangs around? We still can't rule that out as a better way of do things.
And how much do you think this will help new players, a lot or a little?
And in regards to the players talking about quitting, I can see a lot of cases where it's justifiable and where its not. Personally, one of my biggest gameplay issues aside from anything I've already talked about, is that the games pacing is so slow for me, its boring, I've always liked the fast paced combat in my usual base pk activities or just regular basing but it's just not there anymore. Dodging bullets is just far too easy now and it just takes too long for either me or my opponent(s) to win or lose. And since the bases are always owned by big gangs that use these guns, its almost always guaranteed that this will happen. Pacing is incredibly important in any game (and its areas for games like this) whether a person is aware of it or not, and changing that can have really bad results. Pacing is both a personal and factual thing to always consider.
As for gun sales, and in a sense gralat pack sales if you want to go that route, yeah that can definitely be a major problem, any change in income could always lead to some unpredictable outcome, definitely helped kill iZone.

Telling others to adapt can also translate to "deal with it" to those that aren't in support of these changes
