First i wanna quote snk.

Well today i got jailed apparently because i support national socialism and because i am an aryan.
What happened?
I pmed an admin i couldnt use a logo in my gang.
He replied to me saying that some people could get offended by my name 'aryan', and i said why should they get offended? I am an aryan by my self in real life and i support national socialism is that a crime? No it isnt.
So he keeps changing my name and he even changed my gang name (naazism) to colorfulflowers.
Now for some uneducated people nazism is all killing the jews and stuff.
But thats not my case that's why you shouldn't prejudge me, i dont support that dont worry.
I can see after my good points he has nothing to come up with so he says like dont teach me history.
Well you should get some repeat lessons because i am not an evil person and i am being judged off of my opinions.
So he jailed me for racial slurs lol. So quoting what snk said, did i judge someone based on their ethnicity or name calling? No.
So i make a post on the forum hoping that some admin will understand my case, well the good ol educated anero said, 'we dont support antiseminitsm'
For those who dont know what antiseminitism is it's basically hating jews and stuff.
Well did i say i support that? No, i support national socialism not antiseminitsm and as long as i dont verbally harm anyone why should i be jailed for nothing? Guys i literally pmed an admin for the logo of my gang and he jailed me.
So i want to hear your opinion about this.
Do you think we should have our own opinion as long as we dont harm other people?
Or should we be restricted for 10 hours and put on a mask because we are not allowed to have our own opinions on this game?

I don't see a problem, a name of an ethnic group shouldn't be bad if that's what they call themselves. I see this a lot in my school and it makes no sense to me. I called my friend Hispanic, which he is, and I almost get a write-up because my teacher thinks it's racism. Honestly they should take admins that are 18+ because of this kind of thing. Someone gets all butt hurt because they don't know real racism and doesn't take it from a professional stand point.

It's not like i went on public places saying convert to nazism! Nazi is the way! No i didnt.

Sure, you brought up the point that national socialism wasn't entirely about 'killing all the Jews and stuff' -- that was just an extreme form of it brought on by Hitler. However, it doesn't change it's roots -- and because of this, and all related events in the past, how can you NOT think it is offensive? No matter what it's original intent or context, it has been overshadowed by events such as the Holocaust, therefore it has gained a negative connotation. Whether you are/believe you are Aryan [in the context that you meet the physical ideology of the Nazis], does not change whether it is appropriate/non-offensive.

I cannot understand why you think having a gang named 'naazism'/have related gang logo would not be offensive just based on the fact that you 'have blue eyes and blond hair'. It is up to the sole discretion of the uploader to deem whether the content would be offensive or not. You were given multiple chances to follow these rules that were set in place. You were not jailed for your belief or support for national socialism/nazism, but rather the fact that you refused to comply with the rules. Considering the fact that there are a lot of types of nazism i just follow the national socialism and i do not support the racist discriminational way.
However it is my opinion and i believe in it and i dont see why i shouldnt have a gang called something i believe on.
And you brought up the fact that nazism has a bad history about extremists such as hitler, well we should say the same about muslims than? What is your point you bring up the fact that this and that is racist but as long as i am not an extremist and i am not racist i dont see the reason why my gang should be deleted when i wasted my time making it it's just my opinion deal with it im not harming anyone.

It doesn't matter, people should have the freedom to display their beliefs, you are correct that it has been overshadowed by certain events. But I still believe you should be able to state what you believe in. Also you stated that the overshadowing was AN EXTREME FORM. Is he being apart of that EXTREME part? No he is not. Changes it's root? That wasn't the roots, it existed a long time before that.

Please explain to me these 'types of national socialism' that do not involve a form of racial or religious discrimination, because they do not exist -- if you don't support racism, great. That still does not change anything -- that would just be something you do not believe in, but is still a part of, national socialism. You can try to refute this all you want, but I doubt you could show any form of legitimate evidence to dictate otherwise.

Also, stop trying to take what I said out of context. I never called being a 'Nazi' or believer of their beliefs and principles as a crime. The point of me bringing up 'bad history' was not to point fingers, but to shed light on why it can be seen as offensive. I never pointed fingers -- never said you where promoting or forcing your beliefs of Nazism -- never called you an extremist. You don't need to hype something up to try to make a point, it would not be a logical reason anyways.

Your gang was renamed several times so that the majority of the players would not feel offended by it. You refused to take the 'warning', and ended up with no gang at all. Maybe you should have received a better explanation as to why your gang was being renamed. However, you're belief in national socialism (without racial discrimination), still does not change the negative connotation it has gained since the early to mid 1900s. The fact that is offensive to the majority of the WORLD does not seem to stick to you.

You refused to comply with something as simple as this. If you wanted a private gang, where you could speak freely and continually support your beliefs, it would have been wiser for you to choose an acronym of some sort. Once again, it was not due to your actual beliefs or that you are being discriminated against that you were jailed/lost your gang, but your refusal to comply with the rules.

Please do your research before trying to tell me that 'it existed a long time before that'. The point was that it is seen offensive by most of the world -- he can find many other ways to freely show/speak what he believes in, we just try to limit its exposure. If he felt that he was wronged, he should have brought it up and spoken about it, instead of arguing and insulting us (as well as bringing it to the forums in this fashion -- not showing the whole story). I like how you are still trying to defend your self by saying all these historical things and stuff, the one missing the whole point is you, the point of the whole discussion is i got jailed for nothing, i never said racist things in public (the reason i was banned) and nobody told me my why my gang name was inappropriate, i see plenty of people every day insulting theirselves with racists words but apparently you guys are too busy making a big deal out of a harmless gang with one player.

Well, your analogies are correct. I can tell you that. Yes, there are tons of gangs out there, that are named inappropriate yet they haven't been removed because they haven't been "caught". These gangs are sometimes racist, sexual, supposed to be humorous. I understand that this is indeed your ethnicity. Even though it's quite unusual to call yourself an Aryan, as most people don't use the term Aryan. Most people have never tried to understand this situation from your point of view and I apologize. It is true the term Aryan, Nazism can sound very offensive to a player. Especially when you have special connection to this type of events (relatives who fought during the war, maybe the ethnicity of the player etc,). Always remember, this is a 12+ game, and indeed has a lot of players who are younger than 12. In a game like this, it is considered wrong and inappropriate to freely express this type of topic. Involving race and a historical tragedy. Your Gang name was Nazism. This is wrong, and there is no excuse to it. It doesn't matter if you don't support the historical event and the crime that took place. It will sound like you are promoting it no matter what. Which means people will get offended by it, if not people who are "educated" will. What do you expect in a game that has younger audiences? Now on your consequences, you were only jailed because you didn't take the warning. Again, arguing with Dan would not make this issue better. I hope you realize that I am not taking sides, but stating facts.

Dude that is perfectly fine that my gang gets the name chsnged but what im trying to say is, he didnt told me anything he just said it is inappropriate i asked why and i got jailed i mean at least let me decide the name of my gane before changing it i didnt realize it would be offensive to someone due to the other gangs...
But anyway i would have liked this kidn of answer by the admin before jailing me for 'saying racial things in public' at least i want to decide the name of my gang.

I didn't handle the situation, nor do I know who did -- I just looked up the result. I do believe it should have been handled better, but I do not believe the result would have changed much.

Since it probably does come down to fault on both sides, I may refund your $2000 for the gang once you purchase one again --- but the messages from this thread will still hold, as you now have had an explanation. I'll look into it more by speaking with whom handled the situation, and from there decide whether or not to remove the warn/jail history for this incident.

Also, the "3 warning rule" only applies to certain categories. Things such as USD/Sexual Harassment/Racism/etc now have instant jail times, since it is more 'severe' compared to something like vulgar language.

I'll tell you the whole story and i can swear on whatever you want that it's 100% true.
I wanted to post a logo for my gang but i couldnt upload it for a problem so i did the shoeguild player relations thing and i saw only bboy online i contacted him telling him that id like to change the logo of the gang and i asked what was the 00x00 size, he replied to me telling me to try use a more little one, i said i used a 50x50 and it didnt work, he replied to me that my gang name wasnt appropriate, so i told him why did he change my name and why he thinks my gang was inappropriate, he said it was racist and some people could get offended out of it, at this point i said that he should do some researches because im not racist and i didnt verbally harm anyone and it's just my opinion, at this point i get my npgang name changed to 'colorfullflowers' something like that. So i ask him why did he change my gang name because i thought that was crazy and he jailed me for racial slurs, i just wanna spar..

From your point of story, I also agree that the staff member could have solved this situation more appropriately.

Well being a Nazi in our modern day society is not something you want to be telling everyone. It's like finding all the African Americans you can find and saying you support the KKK. You just can't do that. You can keep your opinions to yourself, don't voice them if they're potentially offensive.

This is very much an ideological issue. Nazism and socialism are worlds apart. There's nothing wrong within our rules with identifying as "aryan" or identifying as a socialist. The problem you face is that identify with "Nazism" which is it's own, very individualised, form of socialism.
